An Icelandic tradition, which began during World War II when currently restrictions on imported items were lenient on paper, so Icelanders spent their gift budget on books.


The Tradition is to gift books on Christmas Eve, then spend the night with family and friends, reading and eating chocolate.

We will deliver the books to the patient and family waiting rooms at Beaumont Hospital, in Royal Oak, Michigan.


If you can't donate books, consider a monetary gift to The Guild's legacy fund, for the hospital library.
