Indie Reads Mystery. A month-long, nightly (7pm - 8pm EST each night, except the 14th), interactive, improvisational mystery story, which I write; and where six to eight authors play the roles of "suspects" with basic character sketches and prepared "hide" and "share" information. A portion of each night includes interrogation sessions open for questions and clue-seeking for everyone in the room, authors and audience alike, with the Big Reveal on the last day of the month. If you're interested in what this might look like, you can check out replays from The Case of The Missing Manuscript and The Seance At The Whitney.
Indie Reads Trivia. A month-long, one-night-per-week (7pm - 9pm EST, except the 14th) game, incorporating questions about authors, their books, and the Indie publishing industry in general. Also included would be a virtual scavenger hunt, blind date with a book, or race game. To see what this might look like, check out replays from The Halloween Festival or The Reading Regatta or Blind Date With A Book.
Indie Reads Festival of Games. A month-long, nightly (7pm - 8pm EST each night, except the 14th) game extravaganza. We've never done a festival like this before, but here's the premise: Four different games running for a week each, mimicking the old TV game shows... think Hollywood Squares, What's My Line, Keep Talking, and Family Feud. Each week we'll play a different game, with a Jeopardy-style Tournament of Champions on the last night of the month.
Indie Reads Conversations. A month-long, one night per week (7pm - 8pm EST, except the 14th, chat show. This is a typical interview show format... similar to the Indie Reads Aloud Podcast. We would interview a panel of up to four Indie Authors per night, talk about their books, their process, etc, and take questions from the audience. The night would be unscripted and casual. The last night of the month would end in a game or contest of some sort... the type of which I'm still unsure about... I'm noodling around ideas.
