This workshop is specifically designed with Seniors in mind.  Your life experience offers a special perspective to fiction, creative non-fiction, and memoir projects that younger writers may not understand. 

This workshop can be presented in two ways, either with seniors alone, or seniors paired with younger writers.  Each version yeilds unique stories that will provide a storytelling legacy for generations to come.

This program is an ideal way to add value to the established curriculum or create new opportunities for collaboration between:

• Veteran Organizations, Religious Groups, and Senior Centers Partnered with Student Programs

• Shelter Residents (homeless, battered women, etc.), Non-Profit Volunteers, and Public Servants (police, fire, EMS, etc.) Partnered with Students in order for Students to meet High School Community Service Graduation Requirements

• ESL Students Partnered with a Mentor

• Foreign Exchange Students and Their Host Families, and Home-Schooling Programs

• Families who want to connect past to present and remember special moments to share with generations to come.

The shared experience of writing within multiple generations will teach an understanding of personal history, point of view perspective, and tolerance not only for the creative process, but for individuals, their life experiences, and the community as a whole.
