by Boyana Atwood

Listen To This Episode HERE!
About The Author: Boyana has been publishing workbooks, guided journals, and planners for over two years. She has recently ventured out on the journey of becoming a children's book author. After reading many books with her two kids and inventing countless stories for them, she took a leap of faith by making some of those stories into actual books.

Her goal is to create wholesome books that will inspire good character and teach good morals to the little ones.
Title: Maya’s Big Feelings

Genre: Children’s Fiction

Book Synopsis: Everything should be fine, but Maya seems to be having "one of those days". It just doesn't seem to be going the way she would want it to. And how does Maya deal with it, you ask? She has a meltdown and lashes out at her best friend.

But a little wisdom from her Dad helps her overcome the emotional rollercoaster.

This story explores the topic of big feelings and shows a practical way of dealing with them. It introduces young children to early learning about emotional intelligence, suppressed feelings, and sharing with others. However, the bright colors and the rhyming verses keep this topic light and delightful.

Zack takes Mia’s case, but has his work cut out for him because Mia has been hospitalized, shocked into a catatonic state at the discovery of her husband’s mutilated body, and unable to assist in her own defense.

Sensing he must prove Mia’s innocence to avoid an eventual life sentence, Zack enlists the aid of his crack investigator, Micah Love, and Micah’s cyber-specialist, Reed Spencer to dissect and poke holes in the case. But, for this case, Micah is convinced that Zack needs more—he recommends beautiful, sharp, brash, foul-mouthed, cocky-confident New York-based jury consultant extraordinaire Shari Belitz and her team of mock trial/focus group gurus.

Shari is the best of the best. She’ll flyspeck the evidence and unleash her arsenal of psychological techniques and predictive skills—including using focus groups or mock juries to determine what evidence or circumstances would cause the real jury to declare Mia Folger innocent of all charges.

Zack, Micah, Reed, and the irrepressible Ms. Belitz join forces in an all-out attack on the evidence, while evil characters lurk in the background, engaged in a sinister plot to assure Mia’s demise.

"Night Warrior"
by Jordan J, Scavone

Listen To The Episode HERE!
About The Author: Jordan J. Scavone created his first picture book at about six years old. This first book, written and drawn (well, stenciled), was titled The Animals Look For Food. It was about, well, animals looking for food. Though not the most well-thought-out (or well-written) book of all time, this planted seeds for the future. After receiving his undergraduate degree in Children's Literature and Theater for the Young from Eastern Michigan University, Jordan began working on his first picture book. Jordan received his M.A. in Children's Literature from EMU. He currently lives in Michigan with his wife Chelsea, toddler son, and cat, Lizbeth.

Title: Night Warrior

Genre: YA Fantasy

Book Synopsis: When a bolt of lightning strikes seventeen-year-old Viranda’s home during a severe thunderstorm, she awakens, dazed, to find a strange blood-covered man sitting calmly on her bed. This man claims to be Cillian Balor, The Night Warrior, the same character Viranda herself had created in her novel. Cillian believes Viranda to be the Goddess of Fate from his homeworld of Lingard. However, Viranda claims there is no Goddess of Fate in Lingard; she should know, she did create it after all. When other characters from her book begin to appear in her world, Viranda fears what would happen if the likes of Finn Razorclaw, a deadly werewolf and the arch-rival of Cillian, or the feared witches of The Black Cat Clan arrived as well. With the help of her best friend Bee, and a protection gnome named Mo, Viranda and Cillian must discover the secret to Cillian’s existence and prevent catastrophic damage by powerful supernatural beings.

Title: Condo Crazy

Genre: Cozy Mystery

Book Synopsis: Gladys Wyatt is busy with her home bakery business. She needs to keep up with the expenses on her new condo. It would help if Linda would stop flooding the place. Freddie isn’t much bothered by the damage Linda's causes. He is more caught up in defending his medical plants from Lara Finkle, the one-time mistress of the late embezzler mayor.

How can Lara afford a unit in the new building anyway? Arlie Birch thinks he knows, but not everyone agrees.
It would also be great if Enid, the building manager and Dwayne, the condo board president, would stop coming up with new bylaws that threaten her bakery business. This makes the condo board meetings quite contentious.
When Gladys is accused by Ann Westcott of hanging prank banners on the water works building, is it possible the pranks could be related to the thief plaguing the village? Gladys suspects it was the thief who injured Matthew's dog.

She is shocked to find a body, half outside of the garage. Could the thief also be responsible for the murder? She reminds her granddaughter to keep the condo doors locked, but will that be enough?

All Zoe Antos wanted was to make it home from work in time for date night with her fiancé Cole Wilborn, something her research had been preventing a lot recently. After managing to get out the door on time, all hope of making it home is lost when she is kidnapped by a man trying to steal files from her lab.

Zoe is thrown into a world of conspiracy theories as her kidnappers reveal that they are trying to stop The Arrow Equilibrium, a powerful eco-terrorism group Zoe has never heard of, from going through with their plan to restore balance to the environment. It doesn’t sound too bad until she realizes the only way to have a shot at doing that would be to eliminate the human factor from the scales. Zoe almost starts to believe them, until it’s revealed that her kidnappers believe the Wilborn family is behind The Arrows, something she knows can’t be true.

Once rescued, Zoe starts to notice irregularities with her future father-in-law that makes her question if her kidnappers might have been right. Zoe must decide who to trust, her fiancé’s family or her kidnappers. Her life, and the fate of humanity, could depend on her making the right choice.
