About The Author: Chris Groote is a copywriter, author, ghostwriter and business coach who left corporate management after nearly two decades of making others rich to pursue his own dream of entrepreneurship (and getting rich, too). His own adventure into content creation in the private sector began by simply doing the things that clients didn’t know how to do. Despite having recently launched his own novel in September, Prodigal Sons, Chris still prefers to spend much of his time “behind the scenes” utilizing the secrets of good copy and determining the best way to paint a picture in the minds of his readers in the voice of his clients. Title: Prodigal Sons Genre: Crime Thiller, Mystery Book Synopsis: In the early 1990s, four young men took the law into their own hands in the small town of Graniteton, Georgia. Now, a quarter of a century later, Jon Crockett struggles with his past and has come to peace with it, until a rogue investigation from a corrupt Atlanta detective begins to implicate him. Suddenly, he's thrust right back into the seedy criminal underworld of Atlanta that had cost the lives of his closest friends and his first love so many years ago. Now Crockett - a reclusive real estate investor who hates the spotlight - is in the fight of his life to save everything he's built and to make sure the ghosts of Graniteton stay buried against the one man in the world who can destroy it all. About The Author: Chloe Holiday is a physician who is evolving as a novelist. She writes the things she loves to read: steamy, fun stories about ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances, smart women and men who aren’t jerks. She likes to read about friendships, either close women or a good bromance. She wants all the feels: the thrill of a smoldering gaze or the barest brush of fingertips, the shocked gasp at the underhanded villain, the angst of heartbreak, the joy of reunion, and of course, happily ever after! She enjoys a sneak peek into intriguing groups, whether that be military personnel, medicine, or another culture like Greece. It’s fun to live vicariously and go sailing, diving, or rock climbing. A bit of danger always gets her going, so many of her Romances have a thriller subplot. She also writes thrillers with a slow-burn romantic subplot. She loves humor and is partial to witty banter and embarrassing situations! Love is funny sometimes! She hates to read the same old thing, with only the names and places changed, so her goal is to bring you a fresh, fun, NEW story every time, with NO CLIFFHANGERS! More than anything, she wants a rollicking, great story that she can’t put down, one where love prevails in the end, one that will whisk her away from her own tribulations. Title: Fly Boy: The All American Boy Series Genre: Contemporary Romance Book Synopsis: Photographer Tricia Carlisle inherits her beloved grandmother’s orchard and leaves Chicago for her Texas roots, steeling herself to be immune to the charms of the small town—and those of Travis Walker, who stood her up on prom night seven years ago. She’s cash-strapped and probably still hates his guts. He needs that plane—it’s his ticket out of this small town that sees him as a crook—but it’s on Tricia’s radar now. Fly Boy is a steamy, stand-alone second-chance novella in the All-American Boy Series. It's set in Deacon, Texas—home to sexy country boys and tough, sassy women. We believe a more harmonious and supportive society begins with literacy. We believe that a successful life begins with, and is enhanced by, the written word. We believe that not everyone is able or inclined to pick up trash by the side of the road, or give blood, or donate financially in order to contribute to the well-being of their community. We know there must be an alternative. We believe that alternative is the Power of The Pen! We offer novice and experienced writers alike, the opportunity to join together to create a force to be reckoned with... shared experience through the written word. Several times per year, we offer enticing prompts that, when multiple authors contribute, result in stunning books, created from our combined creative energies. To date, we have published short story collections including, Simple Things, The Portrait of Herbert Losh, Monster Hunter Intern, and The Gift… as well as two collaborative novels, By The Seat Of Our Pants: Madness and the soon to be released, By The Seat of Our Pants: Chaos. Tonight, we’ll be sharing stories from our latest project: a horror, suspense, and thriller collection called: The Drifter and Other Unusual Tales. But first, Andrew Allen Smith will talk a little bit about the charity that we support, The Haley Sue Foundation. Tonight, we have a wonderful group of authors who will read for you. Each will share a story that they wrote for the anthology. LISTENER ADVISORY: MATURE CONTENT
